My brother in Christ, how do you get mold or stick in your palette? I've had my home made palette for over four years and never had any issues with it at all. I have a dedicated plastic container with a lid. They main difference for us seems to be two thing 1. I usually toss away the parchment paper after 1 or 2 sessions and I also let is dry completely about 4 times a week, when I do this I also rinse the container and clean the cloth quickly. 2. I use "Swedish Dishcloths" or "Cellulose Cloth" instead of sponge or wet paper in the bottom. I live in Sweden and here they are dirt cheap hear at least and hold water very well, probably in a similar way to those expensive membranes. Maybe that is part of it but often it seems like people expect the wet palette to hold forever, keep water forever, and never need cleaning. Anyhow, saving money is worth a few minutes of extra job every now and again :)

i bought he pack that has the paper and hidro foam from army painter . i use the plastic package as my pallette , put in the foam amd paper and done 😅

why do you use the thickest clippers? there are dozens that are smaller, more precise, and able to chop through big pieces of plastic...

For rivets try slicing a plastic rod, like a spear shaft from your bits box.

I love this. I've been scratch building some grot, ork, and junk vehicles but struggling with how to paint them. This helped a lot, as did the build which is a lot like how mine start. Random bottle of some nature, slap stuff on. They make for great bodies for stuff like this. God bless and thank you for sharing.

As for rivets, you could take a length of sprue, shave down the edges to make a rough cylinder shape, and then cut out small pieces of the sprue to use as rivets Hope that helps

Next time your try the broken shoulder pad use fly screen mesh it’s a lot finer of the material and will be better for scale

fire is whiter on its base and goes to orange then red and finally black/smoke. try it on your next one, its a way more convincing fire effect.
